A writer, performance poet, workshop leader and social entrepreneur, whose work fuses narrative poetry and story telling, turning everyday experiences into extraordinary tales. Yemisi has performed at venues including Tate Britain, Roundhouse Studios & RADA, alongside artists such as Michael Horovitz, Nii Parkes, Roger Robinson and Fleur Adcock, and currently sits on the board of the UK's premiere performance poetry organisation, Apples & Snakes. Yemisi has been involved in organizing and facilitating a variety of events and projects including the Poetry International Festival at the Southbank Centre, ‘Music In Prisons’ and Penguin Books Diversity Week.
